Vintage Spring Bomber Jackets
Introducing our large collection of 80s and 90s bomber jackets from LA, inspired by the multitude of colours and shapes in this SS17 floral is a big win for bombers. The bomber trend started in late 2015 and continues to dominate the fashion scene. Bomber began in the 80s with the aerobics craze and military movies in the USA and both mainstream and funk scene wore them on a daily basis as a part of their lifestyle- mainstream as day to day casual wear to go to work or to attend their aerobics classes and the funks as a part of their self expression- to accompany their artistic and eclectic lifestyles
Bombers in the 90s were primarily worn by the Hip Hop community which started in the 80s and 90s in Brooklyn and Queens New York. The Hip Hop movement followed a specific style which was heavily dominated by athletic and oversized bomber.
From 2015 onwards bombers started to come in different materials, somewhat reflecting the present trends. For example silky bombers with floral embroidery was a micro trend that started out of the China themed Met Gala in New York. At the same time designers started to duplicate the original 80s military bombers and 90 athletic nome core bombers.
