Who are we?
MI Vintage Label
There are too many amazing products (clothes, accessories, jewelry, homeware) out there that go to waste undiscovered. MI Vintage Label hunts these products and gives them a second chance for discovery. Vintage in a thrift stores looks and feels completely different than the vintage we sell on MI Vintage because it is not given the appropriate attention and care it really deserves, which is why most of the thrift store vintage is sold per kilo mixed together with other less attractive items.
Through our careful selection and care for vintage items we aim to make the shopping experience easy and fun for our customers, eliminating all the time and energy lost spending countless hours looking for “gems” in charity and vintage shops. We do that process for you and choose only the very best of vintage. We also repair and customize pieces to make them perfectly wearable today and in the next twenty to thirty years.
Even the biggest vintage lover’s wardrobe is not entirely made up of vintage. Most of our customers are vintage lovers but they like to mix vintage with new clothes and accessories. Not to mention that some our most loved vintage staples are extinct so we have to re-invent and re-make the same styles. MI Store features a collection of international clothes, accessories, jewelry, home wear, beauty and gift designers that blend well with our vintage. Each of the designer we sell are unique, many of them using sustainable and artisanal methods of production.
We aim to collaborate with high quality brands that have something special and unique to offer. Many of them operate small studios and have limited and special distribution to a selected few stores, so we take pride in our collaboration and offering.

Why shop from another e-commerce in an ocean of e-commerces and whales like Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, ASOS, Urban Outfitters? Because with size comes a price and that is that the aforementioned online shops don’t have have long lost their identity and authenticity in favor for algorithms and fast moving products. We are running our e-commerce from our showroom in Barcelona where we have regular customers and stylists come and choose from our unique product offering. We hand pick every single product and work with unique brands and limited quantities. We dedicate personal care and attention to our customers each time they shop online. No matter how much we scale we aim to keep our individualized attention to both customers and products.
How much should you be paying for vanity and vintage?
Designer brands are investing considerable amounts on their image so they can increase their prices every year. Fast fashion brands invest considerable amounts in production to make sure they have endless volumes to push prices down and sell as much as it’s humanly possible. Vintage as a secondary market for clothes has no rules- you could pay 1 euro or 100 euros for the same item depending on where you buy it.
We are advocates on fair pricing. We don’t think you should be spending too much but equally we don’t agree that you should be spending too little either and here is why. If a product is too cheap this means that it was created using unsustainable and often unethical processes. Vintage clothes that are too cheap come in containers filled with many uncommercial clothes that have to be discarded. The process for choosing, repairing and showcasing vintage in the best possible light is elaborate and it requires resources. This is why you are unlikely to find vintage bargains on the site. If this is what you are looking for then the best place to shop your vintage would be from a thrift shop or a charity store.
We equally don’t believe in going over board with prices, a practice many “high end” designers do because we want to offer fair value to our customers. We work with brands that use quality materials and production methods and fair pricing practices. We price our vintage fairly- including in our price the time we spend sourcing and repairing the item, considering also that each vintage piece is unique- there is no more than one of each.
We work with brands we consider special because of the way they build and portray their products and because of their brand philosophy. Some of the brands you find on the site will be familiar and many others will not because we usually tend to work with small scale producers specializing in quality and sustainable production processes.
Our aim is to keep our e-commerce as personalized and individual as possible regardless how much we grow and how many customers we sell to. Working with vintage by default means working with products that are limited in quantity and availability, it means that we have to take care of them because none of them come in perfect condition. We extend our philosophy to our non vintage products where we apply similar principles for selection: working with brands that focus on quality and price fairly, looking to preserve their originality instead of producing another “me too” product that is going to become a momentary sensation just because Kim Kardashian advertised it.
We like to address the intimate needs and desires of our customers by providing them with a fresh offering in a personal way.
